I'm Marrit Hoffmans and I'm a Master student Industrial Design at the University of Technology in Eindhoven.
As a designer I want to create awareness about the pleasure of ordinary things by creating opportunities for people to express themselves in daily life. Therefore I try to actively involve people in my designs. Interaction plays a big role in my designs and therefore different aspects of the interaction are regarded as important, namely: direct feedback in the interaction, freedom in functionality and dynamic interaction. I believe this can lead to a more personal (use of a) product and a natural experience during the interaction with such a product.
Furthermore I like to work hands-on and explorative in my projects. I have a big interest in digital fabrication and like to involve different materials and rapid prototyping methods.
Next to design, one of my passions is photography. In photography I try to capture atmospheres and like to focus on details, because of my curiosity to how things work.
